About Social Studies School Service
For over 45 years, Social Studies School Service has provided the highest-quality supplemental learning materials for teachers, parents, and students.
From our inception in 1965, we have devoted ourselves to keeping the classroom challenging and engaging. We believe that critical thinking and inquiry-based learning are at the core of a successful curriculum, and we constantly strive to offer adaptable tools to connect with students of every learning style and level. Our steadfast commitment to this ethos has generated a consistently effective collection of resources.
In addition to distributing over 15,000 titles from over 1,000 publishers, we publish an extensive variety of materials covering many academic subjects. Through our multiple imprints: Interact, Storypath, MindSparks, and Good Year Books, we release over 100 new titles each year.
We take great pride in our company's wealth of experience providing challenging and inspiring tools for educators. We fully stand behind our selections with our Absolute Guarantee and welcome feedback on how we can meet your evolving needs.
We encourage you to visit our other divisions. Find writing, literature, and language arts materials at The Writing Company; guidance materials at School Counselor Resources; health materials at Classroom Health Resources; or science materials at Classroom Science Resources.
