Asian Studies: China, Korea, Japan, and VietnamMary E. Connor MaryConnor@sbcglobal.net Westridge School Pasadena, CaliforniaMary Connor, a teacher of Asian Studies and United States history, has published in Education About Asia, Social Education and the Social Studies Review. During the past eight years she has presented sessions at the National Council for Social Studies and the California Council for Social Studies conferences. She has also participated in teacher workshops for the Foreign Policy Research Institute, the University of the Pacific and the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles. She was a recipient of the Keizai Koho Fellowship to Japan (1997), two Korea Society Fellowships (2000 and 2004) and received the Organization of American Historians Mary K. Bonsteel Tachau Pre-Collegiate Award(2005). Her book, The Koreas: A Global Studies Handbook, was published by ABC-CLIO in 2002.
