INTERACTIVE PERTHES WALL MAP: World &
USA. With unparalleled flexibility, the customizable Perthes digital wall map empowers teachers to meet
the needs of students at every ability level. The foundation of the presentation tool rests on ten maps (six
political and four physical) designed for three levels of complexity: elementary, intermediate, and advanced. By
adding and subtracting layers of information (such as labels, borders, cities, roads, and rivers), the ten
original maps can be further customized. Drawing, writing, and zoom tools give teachers additional power to
customize. Projected on a screen, displayed on a computer, exported to another digital presentation, or printed
as handouts, the maps eliminate distractions to show exactly the features desired at exactly the level of

DIGITAL PERTHES WORLD ATLAS. Now
you can view or project an entire atlas that includes more than 160 maps and diagrams. Zoom in and out, "mark"
important features with a plotter pen, and print out any map or section of a map. Viewed on a computer or
projected on a screen for the whole classroom to see, the digital atlas provides 90 maps (physical, political,
and thematic) of the continents and their regions (along with Oceania and the Arctic), while an additional 70
thematic world maps supply visual summaries of demographic measures and the global distribution of resources.
The digital atlas also includes an illustrated tutorial, "How to Read and Interpret Maps." Klett.

KLETT-PERTHES TRANSPARENCY ATLAS
OF THE WORLD. Sets of labeled and unlabeled transparencies cover each continent plus the world as a
whole. Each set contains five transparencies:
- An unlabeled, color physical relief map
- An overlay of labels for the physical map
- An unlabeled, color political map
- An overlay of labels for the political map
- An unlabeled gray-tone physical-political map showing both physical features and national boundaries
For each set, a photocopy master based on the unlabeled gray-tone map facilitates student desk work. Exception
to the pattern: Antarctica is covered in just three transparencies and one photocopy master. Kit contents: 40
transparencies, 8 photocopy masters, binder. 8" x 11½".

CONTINENTS

KLETT-PERTHES CONTINENT MAPS. Two maps in one, all these colorful
continent maps are double-sided with one side physical and the other political. All the maps are laminated,
mounted on wooden dowels, markable/washable, and labeled in English though manufactured in Germany.

HEMISPHERES
|
KLETT-PERTHES HEMISPHERE MAPS. Each physical-political map uses color
to show topography and ocean depths, while lines indicate national boundaries. Major highways and rivers are
represented, populations of capital and major cities are symbolized by size and shape, and colored arrows show
prevailing ocean and wind currents. Both maps are laminated linen, mounted on wooden dowels, and
markable/washable with use of dry-erase markers. Although labeled in English, the maps are designed and
manufactured in Germany.

HISTORICAL MAPS
|
KLETT-PERTHES HISTORICAL MAPS. All these maps show the world in the
same cylindrical projection, but with ever-changing political claims over land areas. Major ocean exploration
and trade routes are also marked. A strip across the bottom of each map displays a timeline, a detailed legend
explaining colors and symbols, and a key to numbered points of interest. All the maps are laminated linen,
mounted on wooden dowels, and markable/washable with use of dry-erase markers. Although labeled in English, the

(50"h x 82"w) uses color and shaded relief to indicate terrain regimes, with lowlands green and higher
altitudes ranging from yellow to dark brown; national boundaries are shown as lines. Also shows ocean bathymetry
and major cities and rivers. Laminated, mounted on wooden dowels, and markable/washable with use of dry-erase
markers. Shipped rolled.

FLOOR MAPS
Really get your students "into" geography with floor maps as big as carpets. The maps are durable, washable, and
markable/wipeable. All maps measure roughly seven or eight feet by ten feet, but exact sizes vary depending on
