180 DAYS OF GEOGRAPHY: Fifth Grade

The wide variety of lessons focuses on map skills, key geographical concepts, and the five themes of geography; students also gain an understanding of diverse cultures and regions. An introductory two-week unit focuses on teaching map skills that students will use throughout the rest of the book; subsequent units introduce students to a new place or a type of map, and explore the relationship between geography and culture. The activities are designed to meet National Geography Standards and state standards. Digital files are included.
