READING COMPREHENSION PRACTICE
Reproducible activity book
This activity book also provides independent reading activities for the average reader, and supplemental reading for the more competent readers, focusing on reading as a comprehension process, making reading relatable, improving vocabulary, and monitoring student comprehension. Each of 11 lessons contains a short 200–1200-word reading selection and activities to do before, during, and after reading. Lesson titles include "Titanic of the Sky," "Tuskegee Airmen," and "Presidential Scandals." Lessons are correlated to state, national, Common Core, and provincial standards. Intended for grades 7–8, but useful for high school students reading below grade level as well.
