TEACHING AMERICAN HISTORY IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT
Contributions from noted scholars (such as Carl Degler and Eric Foner) as well as classroom teachers lay out arguments for curriculum change and suggest innovative approaches. The bulk of the book supplies dozens of models, syllabi, topics and strategies, and lesson plans. A “Views From Abroad” section examines problems and strategies for teaching foreign audiences or recent immigrants. The book also includes an annotated list of suggested resources.
