AMERICAN HISTORY MYSTERIES

Each exercise is a historical story with a flaw in the facts, and the student’s job is to uncover that flaw. For example, in “Jefferson Papers” students consider the authenticity of notes supposedly taken by Thomas Jefferson at the Constitutional Convention (he was actually in France at that time). Each of the 104 exercises is presented in two versions, the first for students to find their answers in history texts and library materials, while the second set consists of the same stories in a simpler format, with more obvious clues that usually will not require research.
