Connect with a representative to create a custom curriculum for your district.
Teams of students work cooperatively to research and prepare fact sheets, write short reports, and complete projects about Latin American countries as they "race" from El Paso to Tierra del Fuego.
Students further their progress along the route by answering questions and reacting to Chance/Fate cards. The end of the race is celebrated with a fiesta, complete with food, games, music, and dancing. The entire simulation runs for about 40 class periods, but allotted research time and the race’s length may be greatly truncated.
