BRING HISTORY ALIVE!

For each era, a rationale specifies a handful of major themes; for each theme, 10–20 briefly stated activity ideas are presented (in total, more than 1200 activities, sorted by era and grade level). Ten essays, one for each era, point out real-world complexities that traditional histories tend to ignore, and the activity ideas also are intended to alert students to history’s complexities and its underrepresented stories. Additional student and teacher resources are available on a companion website.
