The remarkable film Lascaux Revisited (produced in cooperation with the French Ministry of Culture) takes viewers deep inside the cave for a rare look at the leaping bulls, panicking horses, a sign resembling the Roman numeral XIII, and other lifelike or abstract figures that date back 17,000 years. The narrator delineates each image, and theorizes about the meaning of the art and the techniques used by the artists.
