Ten open-ended simulations place students in the roles of decision makers from the 1770s to the present. Students will recruit supporters for the American Revolution, create a poster either supporting or denouncing Pancho Villa, interview famous suffragettes, debate controversies surrounding famous revolutions, and more. Students use critical thinking and group decision-making skills to determine the outcomes of the simulations. Lessons are correlated to Common Core and national standards. Time required: 1–2 class periods. Grades 9–12. 8½” x 11″. 105 p. ©2021
