FRENCH REVOLUTION THROUGH WORLD WAR II

Titles: "Storming the Bastille, 1789," "Congress of Vienna, 1814–1815," "Unification of Italy, 1854–1870," "Impressionist Art, 1867–1886," "A Shot in Sarajevo, 1914," and "Holocaust, 1944." Each unit concludes with a corresponding Common Core–based historical investigation activity, which utilizes student’s historical thinking skills and provides a driving question with primary and secondary sources for analysis. Setup directions, reproducible handouts (including scripts and historical background essays), classroom schematics, and debriefing activities are included. An introduction offers tips for using simulations with students of varying ability levels.
