Alisa Stevenson
California state curriculum specialist
With 17 years of experience in the field of education, Alisa Stevenson maintains her commitment to being useful and sharing her talents to support others. After earning her master’s degree in education in Kansas City, MO, she enjoyed ten years of teaching middle and high school studies. Through dedication to her students and the profession, Alisa earned the esteemed Sunflower Award recognizing the Best First Year Teacher in Kansas Congressional Districts. In addition to her classroom experience, Alisa worked in the scouting department of a Big 12 football program, assisting recruits with the academic transition from high school to college. Alisa volunteers in her church’s youth program and founded a non-profit charity program for San Diego hospice patients and their families. “Forever a student”, Alisa is passionate about deepening her knowledge of history through travel. She enjoys comedy, watching her favorite bands live, and creative writing. She looks forward to partnering with you to achieve your vision for strong social studies education.
