FACES OF FREEDOM IN AMERICAN HISTORY
Students will study the lives and works of individuals including James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Sequoyah, Sojourner Truth, Edward R. Murrow, and Mary Beth Tinker. Units cover topics from "The Birth of Freedom," where students analyze documents and traditions of American freedoms, through "Freedom and You" (real-life situations, the relationship between freedom and responsibility). Includes 12 lesson plans with transparency masters and student handouts.
