THE GREEK CITY-STATE AND DEMOCRACY

Greek Accomplishments assesses lasting contributions to the areas of architecture, art, theater, literature, and in several scientific fields, such as zoology, mathematics, physics, and medicine. The Greek City-State and Democracy recounts the development of citizenship and self-rule around the emergence of the city-state as a political unit; the program portrays Athens as the shining example of Greek civilization.
