Reproducible, two-sided cards detail 28 wonders of the ancient world: in addition to the seven "canonical" wonders (e.g., the Hanging Gardens of Babylon), are the seven wonders of early Europe and the Mediterranean (Stonehenge), the seven wonders of ancient Asia (Angkor Wat), and the seven wonders of the ancient Americas (Tenochtitlan).
Each card features a small map and text on what the wonder looked like, why it was built, how it was built, who built it, and what it looks like today (or how it was destroyed). Fascinating facts are also included; for instance, some of the world’s oldest graffiti—"Psammetichus was here" (c. 590 BC)—can be found on the Great Temple of Abu Simbel.
